There is a fresh wave of church planting in New York City.
Over 20 years ago, Redeemer Presbyterian Church began what is now City to City. City to City is a ministry that serves gospel movements in global cities. This focus over the years has culminated into church plants from different denominations being started all over the city.
Yet churches in urban settings have unique challenges. The cost of living, the density and diversity of the population, and transience create obstacles that cause many of these churches to buckle. One of the ways that City to City is rising to this challenge is by providing coaches for these new church leaders to help them get through the difficult years of getting established.
CMM and City to City have been partners in New York to provide the framework and training for these coaches. As a result, 32 coaches have been trained and 16 coaches have been deployed in NYC using the methods of CMM with great results. We believe that every leader deserves a gospel-centered coach and we are providing resources and trainings that will serve the diversity of city of New York and others around the world. It is an exciting time.
Whether you are in an urban center like New York City or a rural setting in Montana, we believe that coaching can make a significant difference in your ministry. You can experience similar fruit to what we are seeing in New York.
Remember, you don’t have to face your challenges in church ministry alone. Many church leaders and pastors feel confused or discouraged about how to help their ministry thrive. The tendency during this season is to believe God must intend someone else to “take it to the next level.” Don’t walk away from your investment! Having a church coach can make a difference!
A CMM Gospel Coach can help guide you and your church through a process of identifying and implementing practical, measurable, gospel-focused ministry practices that sharpen the God given mission and improve the health of the local church.
