I love different cultures.
So when I was invited by City to City Asia Pacific to come to Taipei to help with their church planter training I jumped at the chance. I was asked to create coaching content that would reinforce the training. We trained leaders from 6 nations and 18 cities in understanding Gospel Renewal Dynamics. It was a great time.
As I have gotten more seasoned in life (in other words — older!) I have to take greater care of my body, so each morning I would get up early to exercise. This is not my normal mode of living, but I have come to realize that this practice is essential if I want to lead and coach for the long run.
I wish that I could tell you that my steel will was all that I needed to achieve this goal, but it’s not. I got up early because I had promised to meet a friend and take a vigorous walk together before we went to a gym.
There were many mornings that the alarm went off (at 5:45 AM) and all I wanted to do was to hit the snooze button and turn over. Yet I knew that my friend would be waiting for me in the hotel lobby. That relationship helped me to focus on my goals of getting healthy and achieve the results that I set for myself. I maintained a healthy exercise routine throughout the 2 weeks in Taipei.
That’s why I love Gospel Coaching. As a Gospel Coach, I have the privilege to be a friend to many leaders who need someone else to walk alongside them and help them achieve their goals in leadership. Another set of eyes and ears that are trained to help leaders understand how to address challenges in their church without losing touch with the gospel is a gift that can’t be underestimated. Gospel Coaching has had dramatic results in the lives of pastors — and subsequently— the communities that they serve.
The culture in your church is filled with subtle things that are not urgent, yet very important. That’s why getting a Gospel Coach could be the tipping point to hit your goals as a leader. A Gospel Coach can walk alongside you and help you either achieve or maintain health as leader in the constant demands of the ministry.
At CMM, we believe every pastor, church planter, and ministry leader is created to thrive in ministry. We suggest getting a C.R.O.S.S. Gospel Coach to help walk with you through the challenges you’ve never faced before. You don’t have to plant a church alone. A C.R.O.S.S. Gospel Coach will help encourage and equip you every step along the way.
