8,000 NEW Cuban pastors and ministry leaders are leading 20,000 NEW churches and house churches
Christianity was discriminated against for 30 years in Cuba. But a unique window is opening in history. Despite significant poverty (avg. monthly income: $25), chronic lack of food and medicines, and limited access to the rest of the world (the internet is extremely limited) the opportunities for the spread of the Gospel are enormous.
At present, Cubans are allowed meet in their homes all they want. So, in the last 5 years 1000s of new churches have started, meeting in a homes and multiply as hundreds of thousands are converted to Christ. Since 2011, one Bible-believing denomination has grown from 250 churches to more than 20,000 house churches!
Who's leading these churches? New believers, former atheists, young and old, men and women who are transformed by Jesus. Few are seminary trained, the vast majority are being trained as they lead by a Bible believing, grace-driven Cuban leadership development ministry supplemented by U.S. church leaders like us. The Cuban ministry leaders we work with are already using Gospel Coaching and mentoring in their churches and ministry.
