Strengthening: Church Health Assessment

Is your church as healthy as it could be?

During the life span of all good churches there are periods of strong vitality and also periods of lesser health simply due to the natural ebb and flow of a church’s life.

This ebb and flow of a church’s health condition requires an occasional objective check up in order to accurately assess the church so that the needed changes can be identified and implemented to ensure the long-term, ongoing vitality of the church. CMM offers this type of service which we call the Church Health Assessment.

Church Health Assessment:
This assessment is a comprehensive examination which includes significant pre-visit preparation to gather key information about the church. In additihealthPictureboyeat.jpgon to a survey, we also gather further information from an on-site visit interviews of key leaders, officers and staff, analysis of relevant history, church life, demographics of the local area and our observations of the vitality of the worship service.

Optional Add-On #2
As an add-on component to the  Assessment, the leadership of the church will be assisted with the development of an implementation plan to address major areas of concern noted in the Church Health Assessment Report and with leading the church through a monthly review of progress and management of the implementation plan. This monthly review will be done remotely using internet and conference calling, but may include up to two additional visits on site.

Additional on-site visits are optional for coaching and can be made at the discretion of the church and the coach together.

Summary of Church Health Consult
The Assessment includes an on-site  visit with interviews of key leaders, officers, and staff, analysis of relevant history, church life, demographics of the  local area, and the vitality of the worship service. The focus of the interviews will be directed toward determining:

• Effectiveness  of leadership

• Nature of relationships in the church

• Effectiveness in missional engagement

• Vitality of worship and prayer

• Clarity of Gospel Communication

• Effective Operating Systems

• Clarity of roles and responsibilities among leaders

• Clarity of and progress in mision ownership

The findings and observations will then be developed into an assessment report with observable strengths and recommendations offered for any "Blind spots" or major ministry "Stallers or Stoppers".
